About B.M. Chandler
B.M. Chandler is a pen name.
The name belongs to the books: An Iris Stellick Thriller, a paranormal thriller series set in Tallow, an invented river city on the Ohio, under a flood wall painted with its high-water marks.
The books are about the work that happens after a death. The cold rooms. The careful measurements. The slow, ordinary, physical evidence that somebody has to be patient enough to find. They're about families who keep their silences, a town that would rather call a murder a suicide, and a woman who knows better and can't say how she knows.
Expect dread over gore. The violence is never lingered on, and what stays on the page is what's left behind: the mug still wet in the drainer, the saucer of crackers on the counter, the clock on the stove. Each book opens and closes its own case. The romance is a slow burn, and the door stays closed.
A free Iris Stellick story, Party Wall, is a good place to start.
